Introduction
Influvac is a trivalent inactivated influenza vaccine that is used to protect against influenza virus infections. It contains inactivated (dead) strains of three influenza viruses: one A strain and one B strain, which are recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) each year based on the most common strains in circulation. The vaccine is given by injection and is usually recommended for people who are at high risk of complications from influenza, such as elderly people and people with certain chronic health conditions. It is important to note that the vaccine is not 100% effective, so it is still possible to get influenza even after getting the vaccine.
